California Here we Come!!

Terry and I are frantically making plans for our upcoming vacation. We just arrived home from Michigan, where we spent Christmas with my mom, Chris and Linda's family, and Kelli's boyfriend joined us this year. We missed not being with Kristin, Luke, and Brayden, but know that Luke's family is more than taking care of them.

Our two quick days in Michigan were dominated by Hand in Foot, watching the classic movie A Christmas Story, and lots of Wii. You'll be glad to know that I've reached pro status on golf, and Terry did on bowling; never dreamed a video game could leave you sore, wow.

We leave Saturday for San Diego, will take two days to drive to Oakland where we will spend the 31 and January 1 with Terry's brother Paul and his family in Oakland, then spend five glorious days driving down the Pacific Coast Highway from Half Moon Bay to Ventura. We hope to see things like the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Pebble Beach, The Lone Cypress, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Bixby Bridge, Redwoods, Hearst Castle, and lots of whales. We'll be spending one night in Santa Cruz, two nights in the Big Sur section, and one night in Ventura before arriving back in San Diego on Sunday the 6th. We are real excited about this, and like South Africa last year, hope to keep you up with our trip, and will have lots of pics during and after.

Terry will the come home on the 7th, I will be staying in San Diego for meetings the 7 and 8, before flying home on the 9 to begin school here for the spring semester.

Well, that gets you caught up with what's happening, and hope to help you experience the trip with us as we go. I'll be talking to you some time this weekend from, hopefully, sunny California!
