Spent a great day today in Beavercreek, OH, with Jason, Jenelle, Zach, Fred, Jeneane, Amy, Jenny, Brandon, Summer, and more. It was fun spending time with you all again. It was a great day, and Jason, you and Jenelle are in a good place.

Got to talk a little about culture, and got to preach. Most of all, got to hook up with old friends. Seemed like old times, they are all the type of friends that we just pick up where we left off. Thanks for being my friends, today was rich.

Hope our paths cross sooner than later. Thanks for the invite Jason, I know why you love that group of people known as Epic, they love you as well. Keep leading with your heart. Fred, thanks for never failing me with your pallette. As usual, when it comes to food, you choose well.

Miss you all already.

Well, it seems we've arrived to a new place in the family, Brayden now smiles. Isn't that awesome!

For those of you who are reading this to catch up on my life, this is it. Sorry if I'm boring you, but can't explain this to you, you just have to have get one of your own. The first words out of Terry's mouth that morning at 3:40 when she first saw Brayden was, "I'm in love." Well, I echo that sentiment.

They are coming here next week to go to my cousins wedding with us, where much of the Holcomb side will take in the elixir, and then Terry is taking Kristin and Brayden to Indy, where the Sanders side will do the same. It's going to be a great week for the families.

Sorry to say that Luke won't be here, he will be doing exercises in White Sands, NM while we're all partying. It won't seem right not having him here, but we are all grateful that he is sharing his wife and son with all of us. So, party on!

This pic is taken at Blyde Canyon, in South Africa, with some of my best friends in the world; James Heyward, pastor from Restin, Virginia, and Danny Dyer, pastor from Ft. Worth, TX (Did I need to say Texas with Ft. Worth).
And, I'm finally home again. It's good to sleep in my own bed. I counted three night between June 25 and August 3 that I slept at home. Kind of nuts, so it's good to be home. What happened in between: a week with Sr. Highers in Michigan, love you guys; traveling to visit interns in KY, MI, and IL; NYC in St. Louis, and visiting Brayden (Luke and Kristin too) in Harker Heights, TX.

What's going on now. We're prepping for the start of all things new around here at good ol' ONU. It's buzzing with the Bears here until the 17th. Getting ready for classes, the new students coming in with high expectations, and the profs the same. Once everything settles in, reality hits, and we realize once again that life is what it is; life.

We get busy, we get tired, we fail, we fall short, we try harder next time, sometimes doing better than the last. That's life.

So that's what I'm doing, just like you, living life. Doing the best I can. Looking forward to my weekend. Grateful that Quinn finally signed, the Tigers won, and Ohio State is rated in the top 25, again. Also glad I can still run up and down a basketball court with friends, and not die of a heart attack. Life. It really is okay.
